Issues Statement on MWSP
23 May 2007 - The ADB
yesterday released its official position on the Melamchi Water Supply
Project in Nepal. Due to the government's failure to authorize the signing
of a duly negotiated management contract, the Bank sees that the future of
the project is uncertain. "In such circumstances, it is now for the
Government to decide how it wishes to proceed," in a statement issued by the
Nepal Resident Mission of the ADB. [Read
