PROJECT CAMPAIGN
For the past years, Forum has been initiating and co-organizing key events related to issues on the operations of the ADB in Asia and the Pacific region. Based on the requirements and needs of its network members which are supporting affected communities by ADB-funded projects, the Secretariat engages directly with the Bank’s Board of Directors, management and staff regarding issues concerning their specific funded projects. Forum also actively engages with the Bank during its consultations for the review of its policies. Forum also expands its network by bringing social activists, IFI campaigners and other professionals to participate in ADB monitoring and assist project-affected people.
Policy Advocacy
At present, Forum is involved with the ongoing review of the Safeguard Policies. It has also been involved with the review of the Bank’s Energy Policy and Water Policy. It has also been monitoring the implementation of the Public Communication Policy and Accountability Mechanism. More
Project Campaigns
Forum assists the affected communities of the Southern Transport Development Project in Sri Lanka, Chasma Right Bank Irrigation Project in Pakistan , and other ADB-funded projects. More
